Monsens 1909
Munsons in 1909/10
It appears as if the Munson clan gathered in 1909 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the family's emigration in 1884. Judging from the ages of the children and the "typhoid" haricuts of Eleanor Bie and Josephine Munson Bie (as per Eleanor's daughter Ellie Carver) it was 1909, but a handwritten notation on the back of a photo indicates 1910. Presumably the notation was made later and is wrong. The pictures at the bottom of this page were taken then.
Here are the two pictures from the celebration, first of the whole clan, then of just the descendants of Lauritz and Josephine. Notice the American flag. Click on either picture to see the large version in a new window.
